Performance Graph Presentation

Styling:
Loss by batch, loss by epoch, weights... these are all rendered as (attractive) curved line graphs.
However, for me they looks so much like e.g. an audio signal I cannot get the temporal aspect out of my head even when there is no time element.
Would it be possible to have e.g. histogram/bar charts (nice rectangular blocks) for enumerated items (e.g. weights, biases) by default, and keep the wiggly line default for temporal evolution graphs (but have the option to view either in another way)?
Even for e.g. loss batch, I think a histogram could be more readable.
Other:
Ability to zoom horizontally/vertically (independently) and to have scroll bars for each axis as necessary would allow clearer display of small differences after initial high values (which is typical).
Being able to change the chart width would also be handy - on a wide screen monitor long graphs are hard to read "at a glance".
